Chalino Special

Continuing the Margarita theme, I'd been meaning to try a recipe I came across in Dave Wondrich's Esquire column and finally got round to it. The Chalino Special combines a decent sized slug of Tequila with a touch of Cassis and lemon and lime to balance things up. The result is a rather subtle fruit edge to compliment, rather than drown, the Tequila. Whoever Chalino is or was, much respect to the man!

The other significant update today is a revision of our cocktail book recommendations. The text and selections have been brought right up to date, and it also looks a bit sharper with some new styling. The latest Difford's Guide is about to hit the shelves, and we'll have live links via Amazon as soon as its out.
